About

I am a Paris-based freelance researcher, developer and musician. With a background in signal processing and machine learning, my research aims at developing innovative tools for music and sound creation, analysis and search. My project topics include source separation, music classification, content-based search and sound synthesis.

My current main research activity concerns the exploration of source separation techniques for new methods of sound analysis/synthesis aimed at musical creation.

I also work as a research and development consultant for companies, institutions and musicians, helping them design and evaluate methods for music content processing and classification, sound creation and source separation.

On the musical side, I am a classically-trained pianist, later self-taught in jazz and improvisation. I play with the Edelweiss Quartet, and recently started an electronic/rock trio project called The Overlap.
